Our School Council

At Ysgol yr Holl Saint - All Saints' School, we believe it is important for pupils to take ownership of their learning and have greater roles in school decision-making. We provide many opportunities for our pupils to play a role in making the decisions that affect them.

We recognise that pupils have logical perspectives and opinions on issues that matter in the classroom, in the school and in the community. We aim to give pupils an active role in influencing decisions about these issues as well as in the implementation of these decisions. We are enabling pupils to participate as active young citizens.

Our School Council is made up of elected representatives of pupils from Years 2 through to Year 6. The pupils elect a representative for each class by holding a ballot during the Autumn Term.
Our School Council carries out the following activities:

  • listen to pupils’ views about the school;
  • share the views with school leaders;
  • try to make positive changes in our school;
  • take assemblies;
  • organise competitions to raise money.
