The use of incidental Welsh in the classroom
Every class has a Helpwr Heddiw chart. Helpwr Heddiw for each day places the dragon on the chart when a Helpwr Heddiw session has been carried out.
All staff across school make use of as much incidental Welsh as possible. Staff greet each other in Welsh and use “Diolch” and “Os Gwelch yn dda” when involved in conversations.
Pupils across school use simple Welsh phrases when expressing basic needs and these are promoted through the Criw Cymraeg’s Brawddeg yr Wythnos weekly videos. These videos and phrases are introduced in Monday assemblies by the Criw members.
