We are currently working as part of an exciting project called 'Libraries for Primaries' to develop a new and exciting library provision for our school. Keep an eye on this space to watch our specialised reading space grow and develop!
We were incredibly excited to receive delivery of our new Library in May 2026! Now the building is in place, we're eager to furnish and prepare the building for use. We hope to have this new facility open from September 2026!

BBC 500 Words Story Competition - Medi 2026

There was standing room only in the library today for the launch of BBC 500 word short story writing competition in school ! It was wonderful to see so many pupils finding out more about the competition and deciding on whether or not they would like to enter.
Those pupils who wish to enter can do so either by writing their story in school during 500-word club on a Wednesday lunchtime or writing it at home. Entries must be submitted by 9pm on Friday 6th November (giving us 4 club sessions) or can be submitted at home.
Written entries that have been completed at home can be brought in and given to Mrs Baker to be typed up and submitted. Typed entries done at home, if you wish these to be submitted through school, please email over to our school communication email address with 'BBC 500 Words competition FAO Mrs Baker' in the subject box.
These are the key points to remember-

- Be 500 words or fewer (title is not included in the number)
