Father James Tout
Bishop's Visitor
Our Bishop’s Visitor
We are pleased to have the Revd James Tout as our Bishop’s Visitor at All Saints’.
Bishop’s Visitors help to strengthen the relationship between Church in Wales schools and the wider life of the Church and Diocese. Fr James works alongside our pupils, staff, governors and school community, supporting us in our Christian character and ethos, Religious, Values and Ethics (RVE), collective worship and the wider spiritual life of the school.
Meet Fr James
Fr James is Vicar of St Giles’ Church in Wrexham and Chair of the Diocese of St Asaph’s Board of Statutory Education. Before ordination, he spent ten years working in secondary education as a science teacher, Head of Science and Assistant Headteacher, whilst alongside this training for ministry in the Church in Wales.
As our Bishop’s Visitor, Fr James visits All Saints’ regularly. He joins us for collective worship and special occasions, spends time with pupils and staff, and works alongside school leaders and governors as we continue to develop the Christian life and character of our school.
Fr James says:
“I’m delighted to be Bishop’s Visitor to All Saints’. Schools have always been a very important part of my life, first as a teacher and now through my ministry in the Church, and it is a real privilege to become part of the All Saints’ family.
“For me, being a Church school is about much more than what happens in collective worship or RVE. It is about the kind of community we choose to be every day: a place where every child knows that they are valued, where people are encouraged to ask big questions, where faith can be explored openly, and where our values of Respect, Friendship and Care are lived out in the way we treat one another.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know the children, staff, governors and families of All Saints’ much better, to sharing in the life of the school, and to supporting everyone here as we continue to learn and grow together.”
Through this relationship, we hope to strengthen the bonds between All Saints’, the Diocese of St Asaph and the wider Church, and to support our whole school community as we learn, grow and flourish together.
