The Ysgolion-Eco-Schools programme is an international initiative that encourages pupils to engage with environmental and sustainable development issues. It provides a highly structured system for the environmental management of schools.
Through Ysgolion-Eco-Schools, we work to improve the environment of our school, local community and wider world. To do this, we focus on the following:
Our pupils take a key role in decision making and participation in order to reduce the environmental impact of their school. They form the Cyngor Eco Council with the support of Mr Hatwood our Headteacher and Mr Barnett our caretaker.
The Cyngor-Eco-Council at All Saints' School works very hard to ensure that the school is an Eco-friendly place. Every year, a representative from each Reception to Year 6 class are chosen by their class. We then hold regular meetings to develop action plans in order to achieve our 'Green Flags' and feedback any pupil ideas about how to ensure our school remains Eco-friendly as possible.
