Year 1&2 - Art & Craft Club
Our Years 1 and 2 Art & Craft Club has enjoyed exploring a wide range of creative techniques and materials this term. Pupils have created colourful sand art keyrings, developing their understanding of layering and colour combinations alongside their fine and gross motor skills.
To commemorate the anniversary of the Gresford Mining Disaster, children used pastels and pencils to create thoughtful sketches of the Gresford Colliery wheel, exploring colour, texture and backgrounds.
Pupils have also produced beautiful still-life paintings of flowers and fruit using pencil sketches and watercolours, focusing on detail and colour layering. Following World Mental Health Day, the children explored emotions and facial expressions by creating their own unique emoji faces using air-drying clay. A fantastic term of creativity, self-expression and developing artistic skills.
