School Sports

At All Saints’ School, Physical Education and School Sports are central to our commitment to developing healthy, active and confident pupils. Through high quality teaching and a progressive curriculum from Early Education to Year 6, pupils develop their physical skills, coordination, teamwork, resilience and enjoyment of physical activity.
Our extensive provision includes gymnastics, dance, athletics, games and a wide range of team sports, alongside excellent opportunities to participate in extracurricular clubs, including football, netball and tennis. Pupils regularly benefit from sporting festivals, inter-school competitions, tournaments and opportunities to represent the school, whilst our inclusive approach ensures that children of all abilities can participate, develop their talents and experience success.
Beyond formal PE lessons, we promote active lifestyles through outdoor learning, Forest School, residential experiences, active playtimes and opportunities for pupil leadership. Our commitment to active travel, recognised through our Active Travel Gold award, further encourages healthy and sustainable habits. In line with the Curriculum for Wales, our provision supports pupils’ physical, emotional and social well-being, helping them develop confidence, independence, positive relationships and an understanding of the importance of lifelong physical activity.
We celebrate sporting achievements alongside personal improvement, perseverance, fair play and participation, ensuring that every pupil has opportunities to flourish. Throughout these experiences, pupils demonstrate our school values of respect, friendship and care, developing the skills, attitudes and enthusiasm to lead healthy, active and fulfilling lives.
