F1 in Schools
We are very proud to take part in the F1 in Schools Programme.
This programme is run by EESW (Engineering Education Scheme Wales) and seeks to develop the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) skills in our pupils.
As part of the programme, pupils work in teams to design, develop and race a model Formula 1 car. They also work to develop 'pit stops' to showcase their work, presentations to talk about their experience and undergo scrutiny from a judging panel to look in detail at their engineering designs.
Our pupils in year 5 and 6 take part in the programme annually. We begin work in January time ready for the 'F1 season' later in the

With one day until our in school race day, last minute preparations were the order of the day today!
Week ending 11.03.2022
Our in school race day is fast approaching and is taking place on Tuesday 15th March 2022! Our year 5 and 6 pupils are very excited and looking forward to showing their hard work to our judges!
Week ending 04.03.2022
Our projects have continued to develop at pace! The teams have been busy reviewing their cars in preparation for the scrutiny element of the competition and have been busy preparing their verbal presentations.

This week, teams have been busy completing their engine housing, outer designs and considering the skills varying members of the team need to be successful. The project continues at pace!
