To celebrate Saint David’s Day, the children found out lots of facts about Wales. 🏴
In Maths, the children have enjoyed using the outdoor environment to make their own tally charts.
World Book Day 2022 - The children brought their favourite books to school and enjoyed sharing them with their peers. They also made book marks, book covers and wrote book reviews.📚
The children walked to Maes Y Pant and carried out a Winter scavenger hunt. It was a perfect, frosty Winter's Day- perfect for our Wellie Walk!😄

Children in Need 2021
This week the children discovered that Superheroes exist in many different shapes and forms. Henry the Superdog visited and shared his national award he had won for his work in the conservation of hedgehogs. He brought some of his friends with him too.
The children enjoyed visiting the village community library. Jan and Andrea helped all the children become members and choose suitable books. We look forward to visiting every month.

The children designed and made their own superhero vegetables
The children had to use their detective skills this week as a mysterious incident took place in the school canteen. The children received a message from Evil Pea stating that he was planning on taking over the world!!! Can anyone save the day? Watch this space for an update.








To end the week, the children took their teddy bears and enjoyed a teddy bears' picnic.
The children spotted rubbish in Maes Y Pant and wanted to carry out a litter pick.






We carried out a drift walk on our way to Maes Y Pant and then took part in activities based on compass directions and our senses.
We walked to Maes Y Pant and had a closer look at the environment using sample grids.
We had a week finding out about Maes Y Pant in Gresford. To start the week we created messy maps of the village and important features.
The children are all busy working on their Super Climate Hero Pledges to earn their green Blue Peter badges. Well done everyone. 😄
Our Walk to the Quarry

The children are enjoying caring for their sunflowers and measuring the growth.
In Maths, the children have been working on making half and quarter turns. They have also been working on left, right, clockwise and anti- clockwise. To help with this, the children played some games together.

As part of Wales Outdoor Classroom Week, the children took their reading books outside and shared them with their friends.
Visit from PC Stu. He taught them the importance of the phrase Don't Touch, Tell.
After looking at Van Gogh's Sunflowers painting, the children enjoyed working outside to create their own masterpieces.
The children have all enjoyed planting their own sunflowers. They are looking forward to caring for them and measuring how much they grow over the next few weeks.
The children enjoyed a visit from Hannah from Sustran . She supported the children with some scooter skills and safety ready for the Big Pedal 2021.

Children have been experimenting with ramps in preparation for a Science investigation they will be carrying out.
Children have been working on Symmetry in Maths lessons. The children enjoyed working outside to complete their own symmetrical pictures using objects they found on the playground.
