As part of our topic 'What is beneath our feet?' the pupils have learnt that rocks are natural materials. Through independent, practical activities they discovered that the 3 different rock types and how they are formed. Children have also gained an understanding of the Rock Cycle. Additionally, the children have planned and completed a Science investigation into Rock Permeability- 'Which rock would be best to use to keep equipment dry in Forest School?'
